Ladies and Gentlemen true pictures to follow ......the Japanese girl is looking good! Darren and his team of plastic surgeons (welders) at Corsham Tyres patched up her holes quite marvellously last week and have given our Geisha a sparkling lick of red and black paint in preparation for the MOT by the boys at KWIK Fit in Bath. Days later Warren and the crew at Kwik Fit pronounced her almost fit to travel down south to Timbuktu. A little more work on her brake pipes (Nathan would debate the term 'little more work!) and some other bits and pieces will be complete later this week and then...and then...she is MOT'd! Bloody magic and a huge thanks to Corsham Tyres and Kwik Fit for the donation of their time and effort in support of our cause! Charity is alive and well! A few more odd jobs, jabs, a bit more scrounging and a sideways glance at the FCO Travel assessment for Mauritania (do check it out) and we are ready for the off!! £71, and a little charm and initiative has bought us a 4WD and a ticket to a charitable adventure. By the way did you know that Hay on Wye was twinned with Timbuktu? I hope to be visiting the Mayor very soon indeed.......
